Title: Binary Zer0s Post by David Waldmann on 04/30/03 at 13:08:05 The language on the opening screen of UT-K-I suggests that Dept codes are the most likely generator of binary zer0s. Since we don't have any dept codes, and it takes so long for the process, would it be wise to only do it once every 3 or 6 months instead of the recommended once a month? Aside from that, as far as I know, we've never had a problem with them. Further, if you do get them it's unlikely to happen just before you run the monthly procedure, so you're going to have the problem anyways. Then you'll know and have to fix it. |
Title: Re: Binary Zer0s Post by Lynn_Pantic on 04/30/03 at 13:32:17 If you haven't had them in the past, then you are unlikely to get them going forward. We have (we hope) eliminated the vast majority of program code that was responsible for creating the Binary zeroes. So I would think that you don't need to run UT-K-I on any regular basis unless you have a problem. |
