Title: re-printing packing slips Post by ccg on 05/08/03 at 04:36:18 is there a way to re-print a packing slip?? one of my customers will only pay an invoice when they can match it to a packing slip, but my packing slips seem to be flying away once they open the box. thanks carl |
Title: Re: re-printing packing slips Post by David Waldmann on 05/08/03 at 06:27:21 If the invoice has been posted, you can't reprint the packing slip. If they are the ones requiring the Packing Slip to pay the Invoice, and you are sending it, then they are the ones who need to take responsibility for finding them on each shipment and keeping track of it. However, there are two things I can think of that you could do to help them. Put the PS in an envelope on the outside of the box. That wasy it won't get lost in the packaging material. Modify an Invoice RTM to look like a PS, and use that to print an "Invoice". You could also just print an Invoice to your standard PS form, but it won't have any printed quantities on it. |

Title: Re: re-printing packing slips Post by Laura on 05/08/03 at 07:59:51 We also print (3) for the same reason. Actually we print it once on 3 part NCR paper on a dot matrix. Our customers don't like to sign 2 copies or our driver forgets to get them to sign 2 copies....so we have stuck with dot matrix 3 part paper. Laura |
Title: Re: re-printing packing slips Post by Karen Mason on 05/08/03 at 10:57:40 We use NCR paper-especially for outside services but rip the edges off and run it through the Inkjet or laserjet printers. It works pretty good-even printing 3 copies, it runs faster than dot matrix, usually looks better too. |
Title: Re: re-printing packing slips Post by JLZimm on 05/20/03 at 17:40:58 Running NCR paper through a laser printer is not a good idea unless it is specially formatted for laser printing. The texture of the paper will eat up the fuser assembies and use of this kind of paper in lasers usually will void the warranty. Inkjets have different media issues. You can get an extremely good quality print out of a medium volume dot matrix without potentially killing your other printers. Jeanette Zimmerman Lowery & Company Inc |
