Title: No WO
Post by benp on 05/12/03 at 06:01:48

A WO was never created for an "A" type item (spare parts order).  The job has already been invoiced, but not posted.  I've checked IN-E (Inventory Transactions) and no transactions show for either the assembly or individual components.

Should we post and then do an IN-C to correct inventory?

I would make and process a WO, and then post the Invoice.

Interesting.....

How did the part get made without the requisite sub-assembly?

If it truly got skipped and wasn't needed then 1st you might want to think about taking it out of the Master BoM.  But for right now, take it out of the WO BoM in WO-K-B, and then invoice your job.

If there were no costs, then there is no point in creating and processing a WO for it.

The sub-assembly was mistaken for a similar item that is sold in the raw form, so it was built from the SO.

In this case there was only (6) sub-assemblies, so it probably took a minute or less to assemble, so no labor was input.  Usually, we sell a larger qtys, so then labor would be input.
