Hi,
I just noticed that my Average cost is the same as the Last cost on all my items. The inventory transaction report clearly shows all the different costs the items were put in as. Is there a bug in the software? The average cost should not equal the last cost. I'm running 2002.3.

No bugs I am aware of. The Average will equal the Last cost if there was no stock on-hand at the time of the last receipt. The Average Cost is only the average of current on-hand stock, not since the beginning of time. The current Average Cost is recalculated when items are added to stock as the weighted average of current stock and the new receipt.

A running historical cost would be an advantage, especially if it were weighted to-say the 10 most recent recipts/jobs. Is that a field that could be added?
