I am trying to delete a vendor through AP-A, but I get the following message. "You may not delete this vendor record because there are uninvoiced purchase orders."
When in fact, there has been no purchase orders or ap vouchers entered for this vendor.

If I was to delete this vendor through maintain database besides the following files, is there any other files that need to be updated
BKAPVEND
BKAPVND2

No, those are the only files, assuming of course you are correct about the invoices and purchase orders.

You may want to take a look in BKAPPO, BKAPHPO and BKAPINVT to be on the safe side.

We are also having problems with deleting vendors. There has been no activity on these vendors. Actually we are just getting started on A/P with very little activiity on any vendor.

There may be a problem within the program that needs addressed.

I have an older testing company setup in our system & can delete vendors in AP-A without a problem.

In our current working company we also cannot delete any vendors without the error "there are uninvoiced purchase orders ect" I did try re-indexing all AP/PO files but still have no luck.

They are doing a little house cleaning and have about 8 pages of vendors they would like to delete.

Is it possible this cliche' could be addressed soon?

I don't know John if it might pertain to vendor activity/ the version of DBA or what, I just know I cannot delete them.
We are on DBA Classic Vesion 2004.1 IS Tech update 2/22/05
Any input would be helpful

Looks like this problem has been going on since 2003.
We also cannot delete vendors. Using EVO ERP 2006.1

Maybe the fact that there are un-invoiced purchase orders need not relate to the vendor we are trying to delete?

Any updates on this problem yet? It would be nice to have a clean up.

The only vendors I can't delete are ones with an AP balance. Maybe in TAS-G under AP-A is checked for no deletes?
