Title: PO Rec + Print Item Label Post by nigels on 05/26/03 at 05:24:56 When I receive a PO, I print out an item label including the date and the PO number (as well as the part number and description). Date is automatic but PO is entered in the misc text. This gives me some batch / lot control over my stock without going the whole hog. But to do this, I have to go to MFG, PO Rec then to Item, Print Label (then on to A/C Invoice Rec) That is a mighty lot of stuffing around each time I rec an order. I would love some extension to the PO rec that printed the labels, something a bit more automated for the number of labels required, say use the std pack qty to figure out how many packs have arrived. (with over ride if pack size has changed - pack size is also printed) Very easy, very useful, I leave it with you ! |

Title: Re: PO Rec + Print Item Label Post by Kopfmann on 08/07/03 at 08:12:34 Can you develop a label that has a drawing or layout printed on it also? We are looking for a label print out that has our info on it and also the customers PO, color selection, style, etc. (we are a countertop fabricator) |
Title: Re: PO Rec + Print Item Label Post by aricon on 08/08/03 at 10:01:42 Absolutely. So long as you have the graphics files saved. What we can also do is have Access actually create named directories that save the drawings and other specific files with the directory naming scheme based upon your customer number, then order number so you have a permanent repository and structure. We did that for an application for a client for the CNC maching department that manages the MasterCAM CNC code files and the drawings and the setup and tool sheets (which are done in Excel). All of this is managed through an Access application which also downloads info from DBA. |
Title: Re: PO Rec + Print Item Label Post by samir686 on 08/09/03 at 08:36:05 Hi, WE receive everything into QC so every receipt has a receiver number so after every receipt we print out the 4 inch by 2 inch label( with bar codes) with all the info using crystal report and thermal transfer label. I hope this helps. Thanks Samir |
