I'm trying to run "Issue Materials" and everytime I do I get an error saying "Before using this program, you need to run a GL conversion program." Please go to the Utilities menu, select "Run a DBA program", and enter "GL2002" as the program name. After that process is complete, you will then be able to use this program"

Any ideas? Need more info?

Oh, one other thing I forgot to mention... I did do what the error said, however when I try to run GL2002 I get an error saying that it isn't found....

Sounds like you have a version of the Issue Material program from DBA Version 2002.2 or later but you are actually on an earlier version. What DBA Version? Do you have a custom version of WO-G or something?

We had version 2002.1 and I just updated to 2002.4 and then the Service Pack for it as well. Nothing is custom as of yet.

Sounds like the update to 2002.4 didn't process completely or you installed only the service pack and not the full update. Did you run it from the CD or the web download from DBA? You need the full 30 Meg (more or less) download of the 2002.4 update PLUS the 5/23/03 service pack if you are updating from the DBA web site files. The 2002.4 update should run the GL2002 program automatically. If you do not have the GL2002 program file, it sounds like the update didn't run right. I suggest reapplying the full 2002.4 update and verify that it runs the GL2002 utility (it should prompt you for some GL Accounts), then reinstall the 5/23 service pack.

Problem fixed! Thanks for the help!

From what you posted it made me wonder. I did download the whole 30MB file and the service pack. However, when I installed the Update I don't think it was installing properly. When I install, I closed the database engine and DBA then ran setup. It never came up with a screen or prompted for anything. An hour glass just showed for about a minute or so and there was some HDD activity and it was done (so I thought). When opening DBA the splash screen did show that the version number has been updated so I thought everything was done ok.

I rebooted in safemode and then installed the update, and got the setup screen and the whole process this time. And now everything works ok.

One question though, with the service pack, do I just copy all files into \DBAMFG?

Yes, the service pack requires no additional update procedure, just unzip the files to DBAMFG. I believe it is posted as a self-extracting zip file.
