Title: Importing Forecasts???
Post by penz on 07/02/03 at 09:04:28

Hi,
I imported a group of part numbers with a date and qty via MR-A and it work great, however I then tried to import a file with the same part numbers but with different dates and it will not import. Basically I'm trying to import both July and August forecasts for the same products. Does the import program handle importing the same part numbers or is there a bug?
Thanks
Jim

No bugs I am aware of, it should just append the new records to the existing.  You could try combining all into one file, clear the forecast and reimport but there is no reason you shouldn't be able to do it in multiple takes.

Make double sure you have all the formats right on the second file - date=YYYYMMDD

Check file type - comma delimited or fixed.

Check order of records -  Item, Date, Qty

Usually, when the import doesn't work and you don't get an error message, it's due to formatting.
