Title: Job Cost Selling Price
Post by kerric on 08/13/03 at 07:33:00

When I run JC-A, the selling price on the report shows at $14k.  The equipment was actually sold at $17k.

I double-checked GL to see what the sale posted at, and it is correct.  Also, when posting the invoice I run the COS Report, it is also correct.  So, I am inclined to believe it's a problem in the JC module.

Any idea why the selling price would be wrong in JC?

The reference selling price in the work order file used by the job cost reports is established when a sales order is converted to work order so if the sales order price is subsequently changed, the work order reference must be manually updated.

Thank you.  I'm not sure how that happened.  How do I update it manually?  Will it affect any other records?

Just change it in WO-A.  Won't make any posting or change anything else

Oops, the work order has been closed.  I didn't discover it until after closing.

Can it be done through maintain database?  If so, how?

Yes, the file is WORKORD.  Or reopen the work order (change the C to R in WO-A, make the change on the WO-A screen, save and then close in WO-I backdated to the original close date.
