I really like this new feature that has been added but have a slight problem, the field length is too short to handle some of the locations we have data stored. I am also considering developing query based links to a database but I suspect the query strings would be too long.

Could this field length be increased? Maybe upto 250-300 characters ???

Let me see wnat I can do. I would only be in Phase 2 that I could do something like this. I'll try to make it unlimited field length, but I suspect IE may have limitations.

I just tried something and it ALMOST worked. I created a folder under DBAMFG called SHORTCUTS and I created a shortcut 123.lnk that pointed to a Word Document in a folder with a long path name. I then entered the path to the shortcut as the image link in IN-B (C:\DBAMFG\SHORTCUTS\123.lnk) and it worked perfectly EXCEPT it prompted before opening the 123.lnk file rather than just opening it which in turn found and opened the Word doc. If there is a way to turn the prompt off, then you have a quick solution.
