hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could help me delete inactive customers. When I have tried I get a message that I can't delete customer because there is info in the A/R transaction / aging file. they have no balances in the aging I made a list of all the customers that were listed as inactive and they show a balance in crd remain. I went into the maintain database to file BKARCUST and I see where the balance is I was wondering if I go in and 0 out those balances will I throw off any other area? I would like to delete them to clear up our file.
Can anyone help me? :-/

We've experienced the same problem. Talk to Lynn Panic. They've written some programs to clean up old files.

thank you for letting me know. I have written before and had no response. I was beginning to think I was going nuts. ;D

You need to check the Bkappo and Bkappol databases to make sure thatt there are no purchase orders with only zero's in them. If there are they need to be deleted and then the system should allow you to delete.

I would like to apoligize for my previous posting. That is the fix for removing vendors not customers. I am sorry for any confusion that I caused.
