Title: PO Packing Slip
Post by JPS_Purchase on 02/24/04 at 08:06:02

When receiving you can't get by the "Packing Slip No" field without entering in something. To speed up entry we have receiving just input their intials so we can track who entered in the transaction. However, we have not been able to find where you can search by packing slip# or even at least have it listed.
Now we were able to find that it list Packing Slip# if you enter a part thru QC and check "Print Receipt Travelers" (PO-J-A ... QC Inspection Programs)
So, it does eliminate the problem of finding out who entered the transaction for parts sent thru QC. However, 90% of our receipts don't need to go thru QC. And just changing it to where everything went thru QC would add more hours in the receiving process, by adding the additional steps in getting a shipment thru.
Is there any other place to sort, search or list the Packing Slip #?
I really appreciate any help with this matter.

Thanks,
Jon

It is saved in the BKAPHPOL file but no DBA reports other than the QC traveler use it yet.  You can turn off the requirement to enter something in the PO Defaults.  There is a setting for Require Pack Slip Info?

Thanks so much Lynn! I appreciate the info. That would be a really good field to be able to use for sort, search, etc.
Hopefully they'll add it to future updates.
