:-[ After two months of trying to set-up begin bal in GL as of 12/31/03. I am begging for help. Used Manuf system last year. We turned on all systems..to use GL as of 01/01/04. I have tried entering beginning balance as per instruction for bal sheet and keep getting that I can not enter my 12/31/03 beg bal because I have prior year transactions. Don't know how we could have prior year trans. HELP ::)

Run UT-A program BKGLPURG and enter date range 00/00/00 through 12/31/03 to delete all prior transactions and then UT-K-D to rebuild the totals based only on 2004 transactions. Then you will be able to enter the 12/31/03 beginning balance.

Thanks. I can be a little stubborn trying to do things myself. My entering Beg Bal When I print Checking Account Condition Report and pro-forma check run I should get the correct bank balance?????

You can reset the Beginning Balance for the Check Register in AD-B, that will not mmake any other transactions.
