If an a/p was entered in 2003, but paid in 2004, where does it post to? 2003 Income Statement Report, or 2004's? ???

Also, am I correct that a sales order (with a final deposit of money) does not show up on the income statement until I close the order and post it? ???

If you entered a voucher with a post date in 2003, the expense would post in 2003. The payment in 2004 only posts between AP and cash.

And you are right on the sales order. The Deposit posts between cash and customer deposits. The income doesn't happen until th einvoice posts.
