I was told by DBA a while back that this was just a bug I had to deal with.
If you are entering a new po, and adding a new part # during the po-a process, if you also try to add the vendor part # at the same time, you get "kicked out" back to the po asking, do you want to add a new part#?
Then, the system locks up and you end up having to reboot the machine.

Is it possible to fix this easily?

Can't be fixed in standard DBA. It is one of the things that the TAS 6 Evolution menu fixes.
