Is there a way to have the Item #'s Drawing & Revision information to appear on the PO??

Yes, the latest RTM already has it - you need to copy the RTX (latest version) to RTM to get it.

Lynn,
I just updated my rtm from the rtx I have on file.
I enter some "dummy" po's and still no Drawing or Revision info. However, it did prompt me for spec info.

The field may be invisible and you need to edit the form to make it visible.

I found the field in the RTM and made it visible. But, it is still not showing up. Is there something else I need to do?

Sharon,

You need to save the RTM after you make the fields visible.

WARNING: only save the RTM when you are on the main page otherwise you will trash the RTM.

Ok. I double checked to make sure I did save it. I'm pretty sure I did. But, just for kicks, I went back into the RTM, verified the fields were still set to visible and made some other adjustments (added text). I saved it and when I re-printed my PO my new text fields were there but no drawing number or rev. ???

If you are still having problems you could make the revision level part of the item identefier.

Make sure you have also installed the latest IS Tech updates so you have the version of PO-B that knows what to do with that field on the RTM.

I was able to get the PO to show the item's revision - Great!

Now, can we get the same change to the RFQ form? This would be helpful so we can maintian the same format.

i noticed that the revision printed on PO's is pulled from the item master and when the item master changes so does the revision on the PO. Are there any available fields on the PO line item file to hard code the revision when the PO is created? The way it is now you never know what the revision was when the PO was first created...... ???

You need to turn on the "Use ECO for Drawing and Revision" in SD-Q, Items and you can maintain the record of the revision level associated with each PO, SO and WO.
