Title: Problem posting Invoice with changed customer code
Post by cennerfelt on 06/16/04 at 06:32:49

Still on version 2001.1
A couple weeks ago I changed a customer code.
I now tried posting an invoice for this customer and in the posting sequence, I receive the message that the customer code is not in AR-A.
It is in fact in AR-A so, it seems like the Invoice would have the old customer code, but it does not aty least not the printed version.
The invoice did not post.
Any ideas how I can fix this ?

Thanks,

Christian Ennerfelt

When you stated changed a customer code, do you do this in SM-J-M ?

If so, use Maintain Database and see what it's states in the BKARINV_B file / BKAR_INV_CUSCOD field !

Maybe you could go into  MAINTAIN DATABASE  and find all the files with the duplicate customer  and manually change the customer code .

Agsansoo asked:
How do I transfer customer history from a duplicate customer, to the original customer files ?
                Both customer codes have history.

IS Tech version of Change Customer and Change Vendor code programs have the option to merge as well as change.

Problem fixed.
Went into Maintain Database, BKARINV_Bxx. Field BKAR_INV_INVCOD still had the OLD cust code.
Now wait a minute, I have a custom by Ben that added customer fields in the database. That is, I have Cust Code, Ship to Code and Invoice Code. That is probably why this happened. AM-M must not work on the INVCOD field.
Thanks for all your help, which is always great.
