Trying to run Pervasive client setup from my server on a brand new XP Pro machine gives me right at the start, at "99%" in the process of setting up Uninstall shield: "Uninstall Shield is running, close it, then try again. Error 432". Time and time again.
It doesn't do that on other machines.
Can anyone help?

Make sure you disable any antivirus software during the install and that you have administrator rights on the workstation.

Thanks, Lynn. All set. Pretty soon I think you'll have to talk directly to Bill Gates to get enough permissions to do any useful work on the now-paranoid XP configurations.
