When we create Multi-Asm WO's for our finished good, we have many instances of the same part correctly showing up in several lower assemblies as it should and corresponding WO's are generated for each instance where the part shows up in each different assembly.

Is there any way, other than manually, to consolidate those WO's for the same part number into one WO and ideally cancel the extra WO's for the same part. We have been doing this manually and would rather take the human error factor out of as much of it as we can.

Any ideas or other strategies?

cancel all the wo's for that item
create the w/o manually or use the MRP to generate the WO

I use the MRP after SO entry to generate the wo's that I will be using to rebuild stock if that stock is sufficent for the order but will drive items below the min reorder level.

Items required for the order I generate from convert SO WO.

I always use the MRP 1st
