We are on 2002.4, just upgraded from 99.2. Question is after a sales order has been entered in SO-A & saved. Now we want to go back in and edit it (add freight, etc) it asks us for the serial numbers again. IS there any way around this, so we can edit a sales order & not have it ask us to re-enter serial number info as this just exponentially increases the error probability for us.

If you change the quantity of items on a line, you have no choice but if you don't change the quantity or release status, it shouldn't ask again.

But we are not changing any quantities on a line item, we would just be adding the freight to the sales order. Why does it need to ask us for serial numbers again?

It shouldn't but in any event, you shouldn't have to go into SO-A just to enter freight. Use SO-P-I for that.

DOES IT ASK FOR THE NUMBERS AGAIN IF THE FREIGHT IS ADDED IN "RELEASE", SO-E?
