Hello,

Yesterday one of our users printed a Packing List for a Sales Order that was input on 8/24/04 with a scheduled Ship Date of 9/30/04. Instead of yesterdays date (9/15/04) the packing list had a date of 8/25/04.

Any idea of why this might have happened?

Check the system clock on their computer. make sure it is set to the correct date.

More information:

The system time on both the client and server are correct.
We have seen this on another packing slip today, but it has not happened on most packing slips.
We haven't seen incorrect dates on other transactions.

It wouldn't surprise me at all that it is a user rather than DBA problem, but I'm not sure how the user could cause it so I don't know what to look for.

Well, the only other way that I could see that this would happen is they put in the date incorrectly in the SO-E screen.

I was wondering about that. How is the Packing List date determined? Isn't it from when the Packing List is created?

There is a field in SO-E (lower mid-portion of the screen) where there is a packing list date field......

There is also a question on the SO-C screen to Use Existing SO Ship Dates. If you say N then it defaults to "Today" (system date of the workstation when the Pack Slip isprinted). Sounds like maybe that got processed as a "Y" and the date was somehow already populated.
