Title: SO-P-B print quotes-kicked out
Post by Laura on 10/07/04 at 07:15:12

Jeff can't print quotes on his computer.  When he goes into SO-P-B and tries, he gets the following message and then gets kicked out:

TP5wdba

An error has occurred in your progran, to keep working anyway click ignore and save your workk in a new file.   To quit this program, click close.    You will loose info since your last save

Ignore or close

He says if he hits ignore or close he gets the same results....a blue box comes and with illegal operation...and of course he has to reboot his computer.

His is the only 1 of our 8 workstations with  this problem.   This has been going on for weeks.  He just goes to somebody else's machine to print the quote.   Yes he can log on under his name and print on any other computer.....it seems to be this one machine.

Any and all help appreciated.

Have you tried un-installing and re-installing the Pervasive and the DBA clients on this machine?

Is this how to uninstall & reinstall?  I did find this in the archives:

1.  Get the DBA install CD.

2.  Go to the Cleanup folder on the CD and install the clean utility on your machine.

3.  uninstall the pervasive client from your machine using Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs. Answer No to the various prompts about removing registry entries and such.

4.  Run the clean-up utility and fully clean your machine.

5.  Assumably you have a mapped drive to the PVSW directory (pervasive) on your server. Re-install the pervasive client.

6. Re-install the DBA client from the server.

7.  Go to UT-A and run "MDBFXREG" and make sure the path it brings up points to the mapped drive for DBA on the server.
