A year or so ago Lorne graciously walked me thru installing a new workstation. At that time we discovered that my sampledatadoc and demococs were missing. During install I was notified of that fact. Lorne emailed me a copy his. That installation worked great.

Well...I just setup a new workstation and again found that my sampledatadoc was missing. I just ignored it and continued with the installation....and IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING JUST FINE.

What will the negative consequenses be?

What is the difference between sample data and demodata....I am missing both...and IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING JUST FINE.

Laura,

Both are part of the Pervasive install on the server. Pervasive uses these for the connectivity tests and also uses them for verification during ODBC connection tests.

Are they neccessary to run the database itself? No. Should they be there in order to be able to run the tests? You can probably answer this yourself....:)

I am sure they **SHOULD** be there to properly run the test... but they weren't.
I wonder where they went and why they keep leaving?
