I am setting up a new checking account. I would like it to be the first one that appears in the list. Can I re-arrange my other accounts in AD-B or will that mess things up (especially when I reconcile)?

It will mess things up. What is stored in all the files to define which bank account items belong to is simply the number on the list. So if you rearrange the list order, you will have a mess. Payment Terms Table is the same way.
