Title: Certificate of Compliance Post by kevind on 11/03/04 at 12:45:55 We get more and more requests for a "Certificate of Compliance" from our customers. Is this an application for the Note Templates feature (SO-L)? If so, can anyone send me a sample of how they setup a certificate of compliance in SO-L and instructions on how they use it? Thanks! |
Title: Re: Certificate of Compliance Post by aricon on 11/03/04 at 12:57:56 No. Note templates only print on the Packing slip. You would be better off to wait for the ISTS enhancment that will allow document linking and then link that as a Word Doc or PDF to your orders. Or you could take a look at Next-Gen which allows this, but you may not be ready to move from Classic, so with the ISTS enhancement (when available) that will give you the basic functionality you should need. |

Title: Re: Certificate of Compliance Post by Karen Mason on 11/03/04 at 14:22:08 I modified a packing list (I think-it's been so long, I'm not sure if it was an invoice or packing list). I changed the title to CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE. In the group footer we actually typed our certification. CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE This certifies the above parts were manufactured in compliance with all applicable customer specifications as indicated on the P.O. listed above and/or drawing(s) submitted therewith. Any and all applicable documents are on file. ________________________________________ John Doe, Quality Assurance Manager Date We actually have other special certifications for special operations such as mag.particle inspection or ultrasonic inspection. Saved each one under a different name. We print it on 3 part NCR paper on a laser printer and have QC sign it. This way the customer order, invoice, quantity, and work order all tie in to each other. When we produce the packing slip and invoice, we also produce the certs. |

Title: Re: Certificate of Compliance Post by gtladmin on 02/03/05 at 11:52:25 We use a Crystal report for this--created the base report, which asks for the Sales order number and prints the cert. We compiled it and rolled it out to our non-Crystal sales users. Works great! We use Crystal 8. If you wan to see the report LMK. Val |
