The AR-A program allows you to save some customers that do not have a customer code, which causes many other problems. I was hoping that entering a customer record using a blank code could be prevented (i.e. an error message pops up).

We had an issue recently where this happened. When trying to delete, DBA said the customer had a pending work order and could not be deleted.

It turns out that if a work order is entered without a customer code (instead of make to stock), the work order will then link to the customer with the blank customer record. Compounding the problem is that the contact for the blank customer code will then show up on the enter purchase orders screen.

After a lot of aggravation (opening old work orders, changing customer to "STOCK" and re-closing them), the blank customer codes could be deleted.

Any way to prevent a customer from being entered that has a blank customer code? This would help out a lot.
