Title: FILOC Error
Post by JNAPIER on 05/03/05 at 07:20:59

I just setup a new win2003 server and did a fresh install of both DBA and ISTS 3-25-05. When entering sales orders, I get an error of A RECORD WAS NOT FOUND IN FILOC FOR FILE ISARCHG.B - 4
Any Ideas?

Thanks,

John

I ran UPDFILE on that file. It gave an error of INTERNAL ERROR MISMATCHING FD'S ? and didn't process.

I'm getting the same error with the 5/27 update.  Does anyone know what the resolution is?  I also, get the can not process internal error when I us updfile.

I got this from Lynn:

In Classic DBA - UT-A, program UPDFILE, scroll to ISARCHG, click so it has a
checkmark & click Process.

You should do this before installing Evo.  If Evo has already been
installed, do the Classic part first, then download the file from
www.istechsupport.com/dl/datadict.asp and unzip to DBAMFG.  Then use Notepad
to edit the TASPRO7.INI file in C:\ISTS and change the line from something
like:
DfltRunPrg=\\2kserver\c\dbamfg\EvoERPmenu.RWN
to
DfltRunPrg=\\2kserver\c\dbamfg\WTASCVTDICT.RWN

Then launch Evo and it should run the Convert CodeBase Dictionary program.
Then change the INI file back to
DfltRunPrg=\\2kserver\c\dbamfg\EvoERPmenu.RWN

Worked for me!

The link on John's message says page cannot be found.  Can this be a typo?

We had the fileloc error message show up on only one workstation with the Evo-ERP update.  All the others work correctly.

Should I still do as Lynn suggested for only one workstation?

All the stations should be looking at the same dictionary files in the same folder onthe server so you should never see this on only one station.

I went to the shortcut for Evo-ERP Local and checked to see it was pointing to C:\ISTS\evoerp.exe C:\ISTS.  It was, space and all.  But I went ahead and went to "Find Target" in the properties of the shortcut and clicked on the target it took me to.  I went back to the shortcut and tried again and it worked.  Was this too simple?
