Hmmm....pretty slick Allen! Similar in concept to what many mid-range systems call an executive dashboard kind of view.

Not bad! Not bad at all!

WOW!  That looks great, but is it possible to make the image any bigger?  :o   ;D

Actually, the summary data (what is immediately visible on this screen mock-up) will be made available quite soon for both DBA Classic and Evo.  The drill-down (the little green arrows) to detail will be limited to Evo and will be released in phase 2.

WOW!!  Exactly what we need!

This data is from what time period? Or is it user defined by a system default, or on a preliminary screen?

How are the categories "Inventory" and "Payables" defined?

For example will Accounts Payable only include the GL account for Accounts Payable or will it also include the "OTHER PAYABLES" GL account (which we use to accrue non-inventory related payables at month end)?

Will inventory be all inventory accounts (i.e. RAW MATERIAL, FINISHED GOODS, SUBASYS) or does the user provide definitions for this category???

Just curious.

That's why we posted the screen mock-up.  What do YOU want them to be?  The Current Balances in AR and AP would be the same as you would get printing an Aging and open SO and PO would be the total as seen in SO-O-A and PO-I-A.  The others would be a Period to date number - could be up to the user to rebuild periodically and specifiy a period start date so it could be YTD, MTD or QTD or whatever.  We envision a separate program to rebuild the totals when the period start date is changed because that would take some time and you would want some control as to who can run that.  On a day to day basis, the totals would be continually maintained as invoices, payments, etc. are processed so the rebuild would only be necessary when starting a new period.

Feedback welcome, now is the time to make your desires known.

Wow this is great. I've passed along to key folks in my companies to solicit feedback.  What I've gotten so far is wanting the ability to use a specific date range for any of the items; for PO's, one thing they would be looking for is all open PO's including due dates within a specific date range --perhaps the drill-down can provide for specific vendors.  For WO's, they'd primarily need to look at all open WO's and their due dates.

A year or so ago, we hired a consulting company to take an over all look at our business state.  One of the items they left for us was a "FLASH" report which is similar to this item but with a lot more detail.  Now whether that detail is relative on this screen or not is another topic.  However, I would like to know what your time frame on this project is?  I would like to discuss the "flash" report vs. your screen with my management team before giving suggestions.

I am actively working on this right now. So if you have good ideas I need to hear them now. Plan to have Phase 1 (main screen for both Classic and Evo ) ready for the next post (Mid June)

Look to have a first phase Beta even sooner - maybe next week.  It will be slow because it will recalculate from scratch each time it loads rather than maintain running balances (as the finished product will do) and all period to date balances will be based on calendar month but any IS Tech Subscriber who wants a sneak preview, send me an email, I will send it to you.
