Title: Inserting a menu option in TAS Post by Vman on 05/18/05 at 04:46:41 For some reason, even after downloading the latest default menu, SO-P-I is missing. I want to insert it into the exsisting default menu and some of my users menu's. How do you do this? |
Title: Re: Inserting a menu option in TAS Post by stl3370 on 05/18/05 at 06:48:22 In TAS-G, 1. Click on the user you wish to change, and then edit. 2. Click on the group and menu button where you wish to add the command to, and then go to the menu lines tab. 3. Go to the end of the command list and press the down arrow to get a blank line. (Or you can tab through the last line.) 4. Menu level--if you enter it as 1 then it will appear when the user selects the group button. If you enter 2, 3, etc., then it will appear as a sub-menu option depending on where you locate the menu choice. 5. Enter the caption as you want it to appear. If you enter the "&" before the alpha character, then you'll be allowed to choose the menu option by using keystrokes as well as mouse clicks. 6. Fast select allows you to choose a "hot key" combination for the command. 7. Enter the program name. For the freight information, it's BKSOPI.RUN. 8. Probably not necessary for this command, but the No Saves and No Deletes box allow you to restrict the command access so that the user will only be able to view the information. 9. You can then rearrange the order of the commands. Click/hold the box located to the left of the menu level, scroll up or down, and release it where you want it to go. If you choose a menu level other than 1, then it will appear as a sub-menu under the first command above it that has a lower number (hope that makes sense). 10. Save and close. Have the user close and restart Evo and he or she should be good to go. Sean Leybold Optics |
Title: Re: Inserting a menu option in TAS Post by Vman on 05/18/05 at 08:50:49 Thanks, your instructions worked very well. I would note that I could not move the menu item up past the top of the displayed menu window, meaning that I had to move the item to the top, then scroll up, then move it again... I wish a mouse's scroll wheel would work in EVO. Drag and drop would be nice, too. ;D |
