I was wondering if there is any way to disable SO-C (Print Packing Slips) from assigning packing slip numbers to all open sales orders.

Our problem is that someone will accidently go into SO-C and choose to print unposted packing slips. Then, since they dont know the sales order number will just enter thru all the options. This then assigns a packing slip number to all open sales orders. The problem is that when it assigns those numbers it will forever print out the date in which the packing slip was first created.

I know that you can say no to the option "Use existing SO Ship Dates?" to override the old date and enter your own. We would just like to know if there is any way to prevent someone from assigning packing slips in the first place. Especially since many blanket orders will be in the system for possibly over a year.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)
