Title: Transfer of Serial Controlled Items Post by JNAPIER on 08/05/05 at 11:13:17 Well I don't know! I am trying to transfer inventory from one location to another. In both Bulk Transfer or Single line Transfer. I am again having Issues. I have one particular Serial Controlled Item that for the life of it will not let me select any serials from the tag list. It will highlight to blue, but when I hit enter, double click or hit select it will not tag. The highlight goes away but thats it. If I hit F10 or save the program either Locks Up and says INVALID POINTER OPERATION and I have to THREE FINGER SALUTE the runtime window. All other serial items on the list select OK. It does crash out of the program often when I try to save serial entries though. Any Ideas??? John |
Title: Re: Transfer of Serial Controlled Items Post by JNAPIER on 08/05/05 at 11:43:41 In DBA using the single line item transfer on this part, the error is "THEN FIELD YOU ARE TRYING TO USE IS UNALLOCATED. IT MAY BELONG TO A FILE THAT IS UNOPENED YET OR WAS AN ARRAY THAT WAS REMOVED FROM MEMORY. John |
Title: Re: Transfer of Serial Controlled Items Post by GasGiant on 08/08/05 at 06:31:26 Have you looked at the serial record in Maintain Database? I have found quite a few serial and lot numbers that have two records for the same location. DBA will only ever retrieve the first one. If you consolidate the two lines into one then everything works fine. I'm not sure how these extra entries get in there, but I have fixed over a hundred in the past year. |
Title: Re: Transfer of Serial Controlled Items Post by JNAPIER on 08/08/05 at 10:29:48 Thanks for the Tip! Their is only one record for each product at this location. The odd thing is that I came in this morning, tried again and POOOOOF it let me select the records. We didn't shut down any of the computers over the weekend? I am clueless but thankful that it worked today!! Maybe a record lock without the warning? John |
