Title: change date in GL-P =both new and old Xaction
Post by Laura Oliver on 09/02/05 at 04:38:25

Since the upgrade,  after changing a date in GL-P, not only do I have a Xaction with the newly modified date, but a Xaction with the old date still exists.

Can anyone duplicate this?

This forced me to delete the Xaction with the old date so I could post thru GL-O

Yes, This is one of the new quirks caused by the introduction of the Business Status feature GL-R.

I have the same issue when any transaction is modified in GL-P, whether the date, GL account or description, now GL-P retains the old unmodified transaction, the new modified transaction, and another offsetting transaction.

My way of dealing with this is to delete the old transaction, retain the modified transaction and delete the offsetting transaction.  Then I have only one transaction in the GL.

Thanks.   I am sure there is a "fix" in the works.

I figured out that I can go into maintain database > GLTEMP and change them.

I am so thankfull that we now have power & internet after    KATRINA    that I am not letting the little things bother me....yet.

I think this may be happening again.

(EXCEPT NOW ) I get two old Xactions, where in 2005 I was getting the old Xaction and the corrected Xaction.
