Title: Cash Receipts posted one sided
Post by cswann on 09/29/05 at 11:42:53

After a btreive 2 error in GL-O,  In GL-D  printing "CR cash receipts" it shows only a debit on the report.
I went to maintain database & tried to put in the credit in file bkgltran but it would not allow it.
Everything else from this transaction hit all accounts but this.
I have no clue on how to fix this. Any ideas?

UT-A, program EDITGL and you can add the missing entry.  You should also reindex the BKGLTRAN file if you got a Btrieve Error 2 on it or you will continue to have problems.

I am Confused....
I really don't think EDITGL will solve the problem, since the transactions are already showing on the Trial, the Balance sheet and the Aging file as they should.
My problem is when I go to print journals from GL-D for Cash Receipts this is the only place it shows one side of the transaction.

GL-D and the Trial Balance (GL-E) are looking at the same file.  If it is off in one of those reports, it would be off in the other unless the transaction exists in the file but is missing the Journal Type.  What happens if you run GL-D for All Journals for hte date in question?

We have (I think) something similar, and I am wondering if Edit GL would fix.  Acctng was posting transactions through GL-O.  They got a btrieve error in GLTRAN. GLTRAN was reindexed.  Acctng printed the GL transactions through GL-C for the day & found that one of the check postings posted to 11300 (A/R) but not to 10200 (Undeposited funds).

Would UT-K Edit GL allow us to add the missing entry to Undeposited funds and fix the problem?

TIA,

Val

Yes it would, then UT-K-D the account.
