Title: Classic, Evo and No Direct Deps Updating! Post by Rbuchanan on 10/04/05 at 14:16:52 OK, maybe I should give up! I never got a solution to my phantom check entries in processing checks and direct deposits together with Evo, but the work around fixes the entries and as far as I can tell, everything is back in balance. It's just a PITB to have to edit the data files so I can VOID checks I never really printed! As if that's not bad enough, now evo seems to have lost it's proverbial mind. My PR person started payroll for this week, cleared the QTD numbers, then processed everything fine. When we started printing checks and Deposit notices, I realized she didn't have Evo and thus the deposit notices would not print like they had been on my machine. We're going to set her up on Evo, but not in the middle of PR processing, so I did them on my machine and everything printed fine. When it asked to save the entries, I said yes, but instead of seeing the names flash by, it just wen t back to the menu! Now I can go in and print the deposit notices to my heart's content, but it will never psot them. Sort of mucks up my payroll files in a hurry! Please someone tell me what I'm doing wrong (besides getting up every morning!), 'cause I only 'got a week before it's time to do it all over again! Rob TW - we have NOT done the 9/25 update yet. Downloaded, but not installed! |

We have seen this problem as well. It seems to happen to us if we edit the pay records after first saving and exiting PR-B. The only way I've been able to fix it is to delete all the pay records and re-enter them. |

Oh well, so much for the efficiency of using computers to automate tasks!! I always said that computers cause more work and waste more paper than we ever did before. I hang out another day or two to see if anyone else has another solution! |
