Title: PR-L-G Print 941 & Schedule B Reports Post by Lenette on 10/11/05 at 14:12:56 Does the IRS accept the 941 Report printed from DBA/ISTS? (We have been handwriting the info on the official IRS 941 form and it would be nice if we didn't have to re-write it.) |
Title: Re: PR-L-G Print 941 & Schedule B Reports Post by David Waldmann on 10/12/05 at 03:21:28 I used to cut the DBA printed one to fit the area on the IRS supplied one. However, starting with 2005 the IRS form is very different. I don't think they'd like it. However, if you'd like to be a guinea pig and try it, please let us know what they think.... BTW, the 941B form is no longer set up so that the days of the week go straight across. I discovered that the hard way in stead of paying attention.... |

Title: Re: PR-L-G Print 941 & Schedule B Reports Post by Lynn Pantic on 10/27/05 at 08:43:58 I think the best bet would be for us to make the 941 an RTM form so future updates could be managed by the user but how many people are still using the printed form rather than filing online or by phone? |
Title: Re: PR-L-G Print 941 & Schedule B Reports Post by wildco on 10/27/05 at 08:50:20 We use the printed form |
Title: Re: PR-L-G Print 941 & Schedule B Reports Post by Lenette on 10/27/05 at 09:10:01 We use the IRS printed form. It would be nice to have the DBA printout match at least the new IRS reporting questions/lines. It's hard to say just transfer the info from the DBA report to the 941 form when they don't follow suit. Lenette |

I thought that filing by phone was discontinued recently. |
Title: Re: PR-L-G Print 941 & Schedule B Reports Post by JNAPIER on 10/27/05 at 12:02:46 We pay our taxs through EFTPS web site. We only need to report a quartly 941 report via paper. No big deal really. John |
Title: Re: PR-L-G Print 941 & Schedule B Reports Post by Lenette on 10/27/05 at 14:22:17 We (also) pay taxes via EFT twice a month and also complete the paper 941s quarterly. I do realize it's no big thing, however, when writing work instructions on which reports to run to get the needed info, etc. My final step reads "transfer the info from the DBA report to the IRS form". It would be nice to have the information follow along the the new and improved IRS form. Basically, it would be nice if Line #1 on DBA matched Line #1 on the IRS form and so on. :) No hurry, I won't need to complete them again until January 2006. :) |

That wouldn't be a whole lot of help to me, but if you could just put the IRS form in the printer.... It really isn't a big deal to me if we have to transfer the info, it just would be one more convenience. |
Title: Re: PR-L-G Print 941 & Schedule B Reports Post by Karen Mason on 11/01/05 at 08:55:57 The last two quarters we used the IRS's PDF version and filled it out on the computer. A little better than a typewriter. However, we had to print it out and sign it. Haven't had personnel look into filing it on line yet. Anyway, perhaps there is a way to tie into the IRS PDF form. |

That's better. I didn't realize they had a fill-in form. Thanks! |
