I am having a reoccurring problem with the Planned Orders report that is making it almost useless. After running MRP, I will print the POR to see what we need as far as WOs etc. The problem though is that it is inaccurate. Assemblies will show up under the Action of “Make” when the WO has already been released for the item. Then components will show up as “Buy” underneath that are already issued to the WO and that are in WIP. These are orders that were converted directly from SO, so the system should recognize the connection. Is anyone else having this problem, or is anyone even using this feature?

Sounds like your expedite buffers are set too small. What are your buffer days as compared to the planned completion dates of the real work orders and the Planned WO?

Our Expedite Buffer is 180 days. We seem to have the same problem. I have been thinking it might be related to missed completion dates of released orders

The report also does not show the start date values selected when it is printed

When you dont complete old workorders they will pop up as a new demand on the system.
