Title: Problems Installing 11/18 update
Post by Marianne on 12/09/05 at 07:34:43

I installed the 11/18 update today (12/9/05) and can't use DBA.  We can get into it but I'm getting error messages like this when we, for example, go to WO-A  -  A record was not found in FILELOC for file -  ISWOROEX.B – 4, ISWOEX.B – 4, ISECO.B – 4, ISORDECO.B – 4, ISICMSTR.B – 4, ERRMSG.B file 405, .  Then is says, the field you are trying to use is unallocated.  It may belong to a file that hasn’t been opened yet ir was an arrat that was removed from memory – IS.WOEX.ITP

Has anyone else had this experience?

I fixed my own problem.  I repeated the running the SETUP.EXE and repeated converting the Code Dictionary.  I think the problem arose from people logging onto DBA during the install, despite the fact that they were instructed several times not to.

I guess that's why I usually do my installs on Saturday when nobody is here!

I think Lynn should put a pop-up in her installations that say....

"You were told not to log into DBA."

Actually, my mind could expand on that for hours... but sometimes less is better!!!   ::)

I ran into the same problem, but re-running setup didn't help!!!  sound familiar to anyone?
