Title: DBA Slow after SM-J-D & SM-J-E
Post by trutax on 12/27/05 at 17:23:46

Client has 2002.4

After running SM-J-D for all Items from 00/00/00 thru 03/31/04 with 03/31/04 as Consolidation date, then SM-J-E from Archived WO from 00/00/00 through 12/31/00 fro Closed and Cancelled, then re-indexing all files starting with BKIC and BKWO the JC-E report went from 1.5 minutes to more than 3 minutes to display, and the WO-G screen lags between fields (was instantaneous prior).....

This is the first time this client has done any maintenance under my advisement - and instead of speeding up the reports (especially JC-E) the system is noticeably slower in areas relating to inventory.

Suggestions, please? Nothing else has changed on the network since the maintenance was done prior to the holidays. Client says speed in unacceptable, so I am seeking HELP.

Thanks so much,

Jan Truax

Work Order files are typically WO... file names, not BKWO.  Check the Help - File Names for the list.  JC-E is WOMAT and WO-G is using WOBOM and WOMAT.

Lynn,

Thanks so much. I will let you know the results. I have located and printed the File List for future reference.

Lynn,

The WO-G screen is back to the prior speed. Great.

The JC-E still takes 3 minutes vs. 1.5 minutes. Is there another file we can re-index that JC-E uses?

Kind Regards,

We really need some help here... the client runs the the JC-E report frequently throughout the day and is waiting more than producing at this time......

See above for attempt at resolving so far.

Thanks so much,
