Title: Binary Fix routine
Post by cathyh on 12/29/05 at 11:42:50

We run this UT-K-I every month before reconciling inventory.  This routine usually takes over 2 hours.  This time, it took two minutes.  It starts by saying there are 23 files to check.  When it said 5 of 23, and I had logged only 4 files, BKICLOC, BKGLCOA, PRMSTR, BKARINV, ( i must have missed one) the routine quit and exited to the main screen.  Is this broken?

Has anyone had a chance to look at this?

I guess at least one other person has noticed this-  has anyone had a chance to look at it?  We will be trying to run this tomorrow before the reconcile inventory routine----

I have asked Allen to take a look at it.  But if it helps, there really shouldn't be a need to run it monthly even though the PI-A screen recommends it.  We have pretty much eliminated the causes of the Binary Zeroes getting into the data in the first place.

Thanks, Lynn, that does help!  We have been running this every month and it took almost 3 hours when it was running correctly.  And no printout to tell us if it found and fixed anything.  I'm glad to know it's not necessary to run it so often. :D
