Can we run P/R in alphabetical order instead of in clock number order through DBA? Our P/R is generated by an outside source now and they use Alpha instead of Clock number order.

We need to keep track of vacation and sick time through the payroll. Can I still do that through a journal transaction only?

Are you looking to switch to DBA payroll rather than your outside service? You can enter the DBA Pay ingormation either way but the check printing file is only indexed by employee number.

If you use an outside service for payroll, I would simly enter the payroll as a journal entry, not duplicate the effort in DBA. That's a LOT of extra work.
