In some cases we deliver our product to our customers and have them sign a copy of the packing slip to retain as proof of delivery. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to scan that document and link it to the sales order in the event that we have trouble collecting on the invoice, since our accounting department is located off-site, they then would have access to the document and would not have to search for hours trying to find the correct one?

Anyone doing something similiar and can offer some suggestions?

We scan packing slips and save them in a shared folder on the server. We use the PO # as the file name. If we need to reprint it we know the file name because it is the PO #. You could do the same using the SO # as the file name.
