Title: Sales Reports-For Tax Reporting
Post by ginawendelin on 03/06/06 at 11:08:08

Can anyone think of a way to find out what type R (Purchased Parts) have been sold on a Sales order without being issued to a Work Order?

We have been informed that we can get a tax credit for parts manufactured in the US that we have sold without doing any work to. We need a way to filter out the costs of these parts that have been issued to sales orders, however I dont see a report that will allow us to glean that information.

Any ideas? Has anyone else found the need for this information for tax purposes?

Thanks ;D

do you just need the costs?  THere is a report in IN-N-B, shipments costing, which you can filter for R types  to get the costs for those Items that were shipped.

I saw that report, however since we dont use standard costing all the costs were 0.00  :'(

There is another report in INV- O
Pick the sort by Transaction Type
Pick S for transaction type and R for part type
Choose a date range.
I think the costing on this is average or actual.

SA-M, using the TOPSALE RTM is another useful sales report.

Another suggestion is to print the monthly SALES JOURNAL (GL-C)

The final page will separately identify by GL number, the $ value (depending upon costing method employed) of purchased parts associated with that month's shipments

This won't help now, but may in the future:  We report sales of this nature to a different GL account number.
