My sales manager informs me that after doing some number crunching, it appears that the business status bookings value includes shipping. There has been an on-going issue with the sales figures being incorrect, as if some figures are being carried over from the previous month.

Bookings should include all new orders for the month whether or not they have shipped. So a shipment for this month that was also booked this month will be included.

Bookings is all new orders that have come in since the first of the month. Regardless of current status and whether they have already shipped. Open Orders will be reduced by shipments because the amount is no longer open, but Bookingswill not.

Wait - by Shipping, you mean freight charges, not orders that have shipped? No, it does not unless you are using an actual line item on the order for shipping.
