Title: SUB-OUT JOB COSTING Post by sperkins on 03/23/06 at 07:59:23 Occassionally, we sub-out work to other companies such as machine shops. When we receive invoices for the work performed, how does that cost get associated to the work order it was tagged to? Isn't there a way DBA will allow this without having to close the work order and manually adjusting the cost? Thanks! Scott www.maconplastics.com |
Title: Re: SUB-OUT JOB COSTING Post by Tim Keating on 03/23/06 at 08:27:47 Sounds like you should create a Type T part for the outside processing. This can be purchased on a PO and included in a BOM or issued to a Work Order. See this thread: http://www.istechforum.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=DBA_MFG;action=display;num=1139840352;start=8#8 |
Title: Re: SUB-OUT JOB COSTING Post by sperkins on 03/23/06 at 09:33:52 Thanks - We'll look into that. Anyone else have any other ideas? |
Title: Re: SUB-OUT JOB COSTING Post by Lynn Pantic on 03/23/06 at 17:08:25 The PO for the type T item should have the work order number entered on the line and then the costs will automatically post to the work order. You could also (if you use Routings) set up Sequences for Outside Processing and place Service type POs against those sequences. |
