Title: Material Issues from multiple locations Post by Lisa_Jones on 03/28/06 at 12:49:47 In the recent updates list, it says "Material Issues can pull components from different locations". How and where? |
Title: Re: Material Issues from multiple locations Post by JNAPIER on 03/28/06 at 13:32:19 Well I am hoping that it can pull WO-BOM parts from one location and put the finished goods into another. This would save us a bunch of batch transfers that are still misbehaving frequently. John |
Title: Re: Material Issues from multiple locations Post by Lisa_Jones on 03/28/06 at 14:16:41 The only way we found to do that with was Make-froms and a PO. We are trying to set up two inventories with ROHS and NONROHS parts and need to be able to pull from both locations on a WO and I just can find where to do it. In WO-Issues you can only choose one location. |
Title: Re: Material Issues from multiple locations Post by Lynn Pantic on 03/29/06 at 15:40:05 First go to SD-Q. On the MFG screen, left column, about halfway down, is a setting for "Specify Comp Location in WO-I/WO-G" The allowed values are blank and N (works like it always has, components pull from the same Location as the work order itself), K which means a Location is specified once and all components of the transaction in question pull from that Loaction, or Y meaning each individual component can be pulled from a different Location. The Finished Production will always be put into the Location assoociated with the Work Order so this is in fact the way to use components from one Location and put the finished production into another. |
