3112: Failure during receive from the target server

The Pervasive Network Services Layer attempted to receive data from the target server and encountered a network specific error. Check the Pervasive Event Log (PVSW.LOG) for more information.

I started getting this error (BTRIEVE 3112) this week. First on one workstation then on another. Can't find the PVSW.LOG on the workstation or the server we use (Win2003SBS)

Also one user got a 3105 error. Anyone else seeing these? Any ideas what to do to correct this?

It's pretty much a sign of network failure. There are a number of things that might be wrong:

1. The cables may be going bad
2. The hub/router/switch might be going bad
3. One or more network cards may be going bad
4. The operating system or pervasive SQL installation may be corrupted

or

5. Gremlins may have infested your building and they've taken over your computers for their own nefarious purposes

The first order of business would probably be to reboot everything - Routers/Hubs/Switches included. If you are getting this error on more than one machine then it's possible that the network interface in the server or a hub/router/switch has gone south.

Are you getting network errors in any other apps?
