Title: IN-A error message
Post by Karen Mason on 05/09/06 at 09:43:50

We are getting the following error message whenever we enter IN-A.  Just started this past week or so.  Have NOT updated to the 5/1 (or 5/8) update.

WARN ERR WBKLOOKUP.SRC   LINE: 65
A record was not found in FILELOC for file - BKLUGRID.C-2.  There must be a record for each file opened.

We click OK and can get into IN-A.  Just not sure how to resolve the error message.  Happens to all users as far as I know.

Thanks

It is update related but was a file introduced with an update prior to 5/1.  Your menu may have been calling BKINA.RUN and you ran T6MENUUTIL and it is now callng T6INA.RUN which is looking for the BKLUGRID file.  IN-A will look fine so long as you know the part number you are looking for. BKLUGRID is only used by the new grid style lookup.

I recently changed a couple of BK to T6. A recommendation from one of the posts.  I think it was BKINA & BKINB.run

I have found I cannot do a lookup in IN-A.  Do you think this problem was resolved with the 5/8 update?  If not, I'll probably have to go back to the BK so we can do lookups.

I also changed some menus to call the T6 instead of the BK and had the same thing happen.  I get an errro message, cannot find T6ina.run.  I had to change back to BK.

Karen,

It wasn't resolved with the 5/8 update.  I applied the update and had the same problem with lookups in IN-A when using T6INA.  Same solution--had to switch everyone back to the BK version.

Does anyone know if this has  been resloved?

The program itself is fine.  The problem is that the update for some reason failed to add the BKLUGRID lookup file to your data dictionary.  You may be able to add it manually.  In Evo, go to TAS - F and create an entry for BKLUGRID by completing the fields on the screen.  File name is BKLUGRID, Extension C, FD Name also BKLUGRID and Rec Type C.  Leave everything else blank and save.  It will ask if you want to create the file.  Say No.  Then copy the BKLUGRID.* files from DBAMFG\DRILL to DBAMFG.

That worked for me.
