Title: Need RMA Module Table names Post by gtladmin on 05/19/06 at 06:39:31 Anyone know the tables associated with the RMA module? We need to design some Crystal reports to beter track the status of our RMAs. Tried linking to many tables we thought may contain the data, but have had no luck whatsoever. Via My Computer, I can see a table called RMA.b04 (04 is the company), but we can't see it in Crystal when we try to link to it. Very strange, can't figure that out at all! Any help??? Thanks, Val |
Title: Re: Need RMA Module Table names Post by cathyh on 05/19/06 at 07:08:54 If you did your ODBC data dictionary files for that company before the file was added there are no dictionary files for it. YOu need to rerun the ODBCddf.run program for that company. A word of caution though, i did this for my company to add the ISBSF and a few other new files and now I am having trouble setting security in Pervasive for this company. I think I should have deleted the company database and then redone the whole connection. I used to require a password to get to the company data and now I can't seem to get that set up. |
Title: Re: Need RMA Module Table names Post by gtladmin on 05/22/06 at 09:08:19 Hi Cathy, Sorry about your security issue. I unfortuantely cannot help shed any light on that. As for your idea, unfortuantely we're not using the ODBC connection (I hope to have some time to set it up soon as I was reading the threads on exactly how to do that), but rather direct connect with Pervasive. Any ideas on that? The DDFs have been re-created when I did the last update, so there should be data dictionary files for the table(s). Unless there's something else I have to do. Thanks for your help! Val |
Title: Re: Need RMA Module Table names Post by gtladmin on 06/05/06 at 12:14:09 Well, I've had to go about this a bass-ackwards way, by looking at the .RTM and decipher where that report is pulling the data from. Here's what I have found, and it looks like the RMA module doesn't have its own tables? ??? RMA Entered by=bkar.inv.entby description=bkar.invl.pdesc rma notes entered=bk.desc.notes 4 lines on notes entered=bkest.cfg.endln(1),(2),(3),(4) original order no. invoice y/n reorder?=cust.bilto(5) (what table has this field? ???) reason for return=ship.to.attn (but which table? ???) RMA Number=bkar.inv.sonum (have to set a range for RMA's only) RMA Date=bkar.inv.orddte BKAR_INV_INVCD looks to be status (open or closed; y=closed? x=open?) Oy vey! Val |
Title: Re: Need RMA Module Table names Post by Lynn Pantic on 06/05/06 at 12:52:38 RMA and Sales Quotes share the same files. |
Title: Re: Need RMA Module Table names Post by gtladmin on 06/05/06 at 13:50:56 Thanks Lynn. But we still can't get some of the info we need into our report, such as the reason for the return, original sales order number, reorder (y/n). Isn't there any documentation on this module as to where the data is stored so we can do a proper Crystal report? Thanks, Val |
Title: Re: Need RMA Module Table names Post by rmh148 on 06/07/06 at 08:10:53 Look at ISSRINV and ISSINVL for RMA stuff. The field names BKAR_INV_INVCD are the same as BKARINV and BKARINVL |
Title: Re: Need RMA Module Table names Post by gtladmin on 06/08/06 at 11:42:28 Thanks---weird, though. Both of those tables are blank. There's no records in them at all. ??? We have plenty of RMAs entered, opened and closed. So if these are the tables, why isn't there anything in them? Val |
Title: Re: Need RMA Module Table names Post by dameng on 06/22/06 at 15:30:03 try looking at the BKESTQT and BKESTQTL tables. dave |
Title: Re: Need RMA Module Table names Post by gtladmin on 06/29/06 at 15:38:50 We already did, they don't contain all the info needed. Thanks though. Val |
Title: Re: Need RMA Module Table names Post by dameng on 07/04/06 at 16:43:54 well, not sure what info you specifically are looking for. like lynn stated earlier, the SO Quotes and RMA use the same files. so primary files BKESTQT and BKESTQTL ( have the same layout as the sales orders, BKARINV BKARINVL ) IF you are looking for notes, then look in BKARDESC. you can also utilize the pervasive monitor to see what files are open by just being in that menu, 36 files in all. or, you can enter in a dummy RMA and save it, then use windows explorer to see what files are the most recently changed. obviously make sure no one is using hte system, or use a local copy or another company, etc. |
