There seems to be an issue when changing parts from "phantoms" to "R" types. We have some wire prep that at one time were being prepared in house, at some point it was decided that we would buy the wire from our supplier already cut. At this point the part was changed from type "B" to "R" and the BOM was deleted - now when a work order is generated the wire does not show up on the work order. If you print a BOM BM-B the wire shows on the bill as type "R", but if you use IN-A to view the BOM the wire still show up as "B". Where is the IN-A looking at to see the BOM, there must be some other location that the type does not get updated when a part is changed from "B" to "R" - I don't know how long this has been happening but I need a fix. Also, I need to know where this duplicate BOM is located so that I can come up with a report to locate other discrepancy's.

Found the BOM file that is not being changed.....

BKBMMSTR

Anyone who does change part types should run a comparison between what is listed in the above file and the item master. I found about 15 parts that have this issue.....

BM-G (even if you say N to update Standard Cost) will reset the types to match the Inventory Master.
