Title: Description line on PO's Post by lburns on 06/12/06 at 06:49:03 Is there a setting I have yet to find that will allow the full description line that is shown when entering a PO to actually print on the PO or is it a modify forms issue? I use one of the standard PO templates however when I print the PO, at least seven characters are cut off.... |
Title: Re: Description line on PO's Post by David Waldmann on 06/12/06 at 16:36:38 It's possible that the PO program doesn't pull the full item description in, but I don't think so. More likely, your form needs to be modified. It could be that the fonts your system has take up more room than the ones it was designed for, or it may have been designed in the hopes that users would fix it if they wanted too.... Modify Forms is really pretty easy - especially if you just need to widen a field. If you don't know how, just ask. |
Title: Re: Description line on PO's Post by LeAnn Cucchiara on 06/12/06 at 17:14:13 How do you adjust the height of the description lines? I want the text to be closer together. On our packing lists we put in specs of our customer's parts which can sometimes run 9 - 10 lines so most of our P/L prints at least 2 pages if we ship >1 L/I. I think the formatting is the same for the invoice rtm but the invoice prints like I want it to with the lines closer together. Thanks in advance, LeAnn |
Title: Re: Description line on PO's Post by David Waldmann on 06/13/06 at 04:19:43 That's not quite so simple, as I recall. Just try playing with the height and spacing of the boxes, make sure that the bottom margin line is pulled up as tight to the bottom of the boxes as you can, and make sure you have a good backup before you start in case something gets messed up. And check ALL the sub-report tabs to make sure that there isn't extra space creeping in there too. |
Title: Re: Description line on PO's Post by LeAnn Cucchiara on 06/13/06 at 09:59:19 Thanks, David!! That worked - I think the sub-reports were my problem. I'm leary of making any changes to those sub-reports - not always sure what makes them tick. |
